In a state prosecution of a drug case, to over 100 grams of cocaine ( a Class X Felony with a minimum of 6 years ) were seized . The defendant was charged with a Class X felony and faced at least a 6 year sentence. Mr. Meczyk filed a Motion to Suppress the drugs. Upon review of the Motion, the State's Attorney reduced the charges and the defendant received 2 years probation.
Mr. Mecyzk has tried over 125 jury trials to verdict. He has argued before the U.S. Supreme Court, and he has appeared in nearly every U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
